Players focus on a different stroke daily at camp. Instruction includes forehand, backhand, serve & volley. Match play for juniors with green dot and adult ball will also be played. A minimum of 2.5 hours on-court instruction is provided daily. Wednesday is prize day! Players are asked to bring a nut-free snack daily.
Beginner: Player has either never held a racquet or played sparingly without formal instruction.
Advanced Beginner: Player has been introduced to grips & strokes and starts to make contact with ball on a regular basis.
Low Intermediate: Player is starting to keep ball in play, learning to serve, can volley and is learning court positioning.
Intermediate: Player can keep ball in play consistently, hits with some spin, and can serve and rally consistently.
USTA QuickStart: Red balls are designed for Pee Wees, orange balls for younger players, green balls for more advanced 10-and-under juniors. Adult balls are for more advanced players over age 12.
Participants should bring their own racquet. The instructor has 19-inch, 21-inch, 23-inch & 25-inch tennis racquets for sale (price per racquet: $30).
