Ken Greenfield

Longtime instructor known for creative, encouraging lessons that make learning tennis both fun and rewarding.

Ken Greenfield has been teaching beginner, intermediate and advanced intermediate players since the mid 1970s in Connecticut and New York. Ken grew up in Danbury and played #1 for Danbury High School in the early 1970s.  In 1975, he won the Danbury men’s singles title. In the 1990s he won many doubles titles along with some singles titles at Twin Oaks in Chappaqua, NY. In 1993, he decided to further my tennis knowledge and teaching techniques and became a certified PTR tennis instructor.  For the more than 14 years Ken has taught for Fairfield County Tennis. He also taught in Mt Pleasant, NY and New York City in various tennis various tennis programs. Ken believes the 3 most important qualities of a tennis instructor are:  1) creativity 2) making lessons fun for students and 3) providing encouragement and positive feedback throughout the lesson.
