Greg Sansonetti has been teaching tennis for twenty years. Greg is currently Co–Director of Stratford, Easton, Newtown, Fairfield, Orange and Wilton Parks and Recreation tennis programs which includes both adult and junior instruction. Greg is also the director of the Bethel Parks & Recreation tennis program.

Greg’s competitive tennis experience began at Bunnell High School where he earned Conference MVP status and was Class M State Champion. Greg continued his winning streak in Trumbull’s USTA League Tennis 5.0 Team as the team’s top singles player. Greg’s team advanced to the finals in the 1998 USTA New England Sectional Championships. Greg also finished as a finalist in the New England Men’s Open tournament in Wellsley, MA and as a semifinalist in the Men’s Open in Madison, CT. Greg has taught at various clubs throughout Fairfield County including Weston Racquet Club, New Canaan Racquet Club,Westport Tennis Club and Sylvan Tennis Club.

With a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Performance/Sport Science and personal training certification through the American Council on Exercise, Greg has a special interest in sports-specific training for competitive tennis. Greg also carries USTA Sport-Science certification and is a member of the United States Professional Tennis Registry.

In 2009 Greg won 4 New England Open Men's Doubles Tournaments and is ranked 3 in New England.


Dave Kardas has been teaching tennis for over fifteen years and is also the Director of Tennis with Westport Parks and Recreation and the Tennis Director of Milford Recreation.

A member of the USPTA and USPTR since 1998, Dave has taught at several local clubs including Madison Racquet Club, Sylvan Tennis Club, Tennis Club of Trumbull, Westport Tennis Club, Tennis Central, Roton Point, and New Canaan Racquet Club. Dave has also coached the Boys and Girls teams at Joseph A. Foran High School in Milford.

In addition to local tennis clubs, Dave has taught at several resorts in the Caribbean including Coral Reef in Barbados, Coyaba in Jamaica, and Sandals St. Lucia, and several other resorts.  Dave has also taught with former APT Pro, Tom Gullikson as well as Tim Mayotte in workshops. 

Dave has written articles for New England Tennis magazine and received an award for “Public Tennis Facility” in 2002 from the Fairfield County Advocate

Dave continues to run sanctioned tennis tournaments, charity, and social events.



Jacob Kreimer

Jacob Kreimer is a native of Brazil with over 40 years of experience in the tennis industry. Jacob has served as an international junior, college and satellite level pro. He has also designed and developed Tiny Tots, a program that has proven to be effective in developing motor coordination, the fundamentals of tennis, and the love for the game in children ranging from 3 to 7 years in age.

Since 1982, Jacob has coached both juniors and adults at various locations in New York and Connecticut. Jacob has worked with top world class professionals like Martina Navratilova and Ivan Lendl. As a player, Jacob has won the 1996 National 5.0 League and he was a finalist at the National Doubles 35’s Grass Court. Additionally, Jacob worked as an announcer for ESPN International where he covered the tennis world for 13 years.

Jacob is looking forward to working with children, men and women of all levels of play, helping to develop a fun and healthy atmosphere at the parks and recreation grounds.


Angelo A. Rossetti

Angelo became a USPTA certified teaching professional in 1992. He has taught at Yale University & other first class institutions, where he has served as the Director as well as Head Pro. He has taught with ATP Tour professionals, including Tom Gullikson, Tim Mayotte, Johan Kriek, Mikael Pernfors, Luke & Murphy Jensen, Malavai Washington, James Blake & Monica Seles. A top Division I player at the University of Connecticut, he earned a B.S. degree in Sports Marketing. He won the USTA New England Sportsmanship award in 2005. In 2007, he & his identical twin brother, Ettoré, were ranked #1 in New England Men's Open Doubles & were awarded gold medallions at the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Angelo earned the 2007 USPTA Regional Teaching Pro of the Year & 2007 Open Player of the Year. He also has been certified for Developing Junior Players from USPTA/Nick Bollettieri. Most recently he has earned the 2008 USPTA Tennis Industry Excellence Award. Angelo has both coached & played on 5.0 & open USTA teams that have gone to nationals. In August of 2008, he & Ettoré, set the official Guinness World Record™ for the Longest Tennis Rally totaling 25,944 continuous strokes, lasting over 14 hours & 31 minutes & were featured on CNN. He is philanthropic minded & still raises money through his website www.Rally4Charity.org for notable charities. Angelo & his wife, Pam, live in Hamden with their daughter, Madison.



John Barbaria

As a High school Tennis player, both singles and doubles. Played in the state tournament in doubles. (Varsity as a Junior and Senior) Practice partner with the Uconn tennis team.

As a tennis teacher:
Norwalk Parks and Rec. 1971-1973, Youth and adult lessons. Organized end of summer tournaments with trophies to winners. Summer 1974 sleep away camp, " Camp Berkshire ". Assistant to head pro with tennis instruction to campers. We traveled to play against other area camps. 1974 Trumbull Racquet Club, Assistant Pro to the head pro at this indoor club who at the time was my high school tennis coach. Summer 2004 Milford Recreation Youth tennis lessons with Colin Lea. From 2004 to the present, Greg and Dave (Now FCT) working in many towns ,and Head pro at the Wilton Summer Camp for the past 5 Summers. This will be my fifth summer at Longshore Club Park teaching in the afternoons. In the spring and fall I also provide instruction to children and adults in Fairfield, Stratford and Orange.

Being able to teach a game I am passionate about to everyone who wants to learn and have them  have fun while improving their skills is something I will always cherish and never take for granted. This is central to my philosophy as a tennis instructor and coach.

John Barbaria returns for his fourth year as Head Pro. John has had several years of teaching experience and has taught at Fairfield Indoor, Tennis Club of Trumbull, Sylvan Tennis Club, and Milford Recreation and Westport Parks and Recreation.


Matthew Guzzetti has over 12 years of tennis teaching experience.  In addition to coaching the Newtown and Stratford Boy’s Varsity teams, he has been the Summer Tennis Program Director in Newtown, the Assistant Director for Future Stars in Darien, and has worked indoors as a part time instructor for Four Seasons Racquet Club.



Matt Willard proudly joins Fairfield County Tennis from The San Francisco Tennis Club in California where he specialized in junior development training.  As a USPTA certified tennis professional he had the opportunity to train some of NorCal's top regionally and nationally ranked juniors as well as some of the most competitive high school players in the area.  He has also spent a great deal of focus working with collegiate players and adults.  Matt's philosophies about tennis are simple and fun and takes pride in seeing the hard work and determination of his students pay off on the court.  


Our qualified staff provides instruction for all ages. All clinics and camps provide instruction on the forehand, backhand, serve and volley. Singles and doubles strategy, footwork, and tennis etiquette are also included to provide a well-rounded experience.
